Birdwatchcop,
I´m on a Mac platform, editing in Final Cut Pro. For this clip I used the following settings:
- Render in H.264 QT-format (mov)
- aspect ratio 680x384 (16:9 format)
- datarate 2000 kbit/s
- audio AAC 44.100 Hz
Original file size was 75 MB

I don´t know the conversion used on the birdforum.tv site for the final flash file. But the conversion on other sites like the ibc.lynxeds.com seems a lot better IMHO!

Johan, for me intresting to now the format you converted your HD clip. The results I have posted are lesser sharp and not realy ad my convinience, more disappointing as endresult. Hope You can give me a clou. Thanks in advance.

Kimandsue,
this is shoot with a Canon XLH1 (HDV) camcorder using different kind of lenses, including the original 20x HD lens, Sigma 70-200mm f2.8, Canon 300mm f4.0.
Ambient sound is recorded with a pair of Sennheiser ME-67 shotgun mics.
I was staying in a blind for two nights to get this shot, as the mating and copulation only happens one ore two days in the year!
You need some luck to be there when it occurs.
